Dynamic Efficiency Testing of a Mono-Actuated Flexible Flipper

Actuator efficiency has been a recurring subject over the years and still is in many different fields. In maritime robotics, the most used actuators are propeller thrusters, but new designs are emerging with their benefits and drawbacks. This work aims to consider a mono-actuated flexible flipper through an experimental efficiency study.

Abstract

Actuator efficiency has been a recurring subject over the years and still is in many different fields. In maritime robotics, the most used actuators are propeller thrusters, but new designs are emerging with their benefits and drawbacks. This work aims to consider a mono-actuated flexible flipper through an experimental efficiency study.
