Automating Animal Intrusion Detection in Agriculture Fields
Repeated cases of wild animal incursion into agriculture, especially on those by deer, wild boar, elephants, and other species, are some of the most harmful threats to crop cultivation. In some instances, such incursions cause enormous destruction and ruin thousands of farmers. To arrive at a solution, an animal incursion alarm system has been introduced to use computer vision and wireless sensor technology. Once informed, the alarms work by sounding off audible alarms to alert the nearest personnel and sending guaranteed email notifications with attached images to the landowners and the local authorities. Accordingly, the dual action of an immediate warning with vivid photo evidence provides effective action and mitigation to protect crop grower's livelihood. By extending direct surveillance over the area combined with rapid alerting means, the animal incursion alarm system will protect crops and allow for a rapid agricultural response against wildlife threats; thus, ensuring food security and sustainable productivity as well as cutting down economic losses by the wildlife incursions into agriculture.
