Smart Inventory Management Leveraging Automation and Analytics for Operational Excellence
Inventory management is essential for achieving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction in retail and storage facilities. Conventional inventory management methods, frequently dependent on manual procedures, are susceptible to inaccuracies, inefficiencies, and delays, resulting in stockouts, overstocking, and waste. This study provides a contemporary inventory management system that incorporates new technology and methodologies to optimize and improve operations. The suggested system automates real-time stock updates via barcode scanning, RFID technology, and IoT sensors, guaranteeing precise inventory tracking. It features a low stock alert system that tracks inventory levels and issues messages upon reaching specified thresholds, facilitating prompt restocking. Monitoring stock movement guarantees transparency and precision in the transfer of goods between sites, while an expiration tracking tool reduces waste by notifying users of impending expiration of perishable commodities. The system has a comprehensive reporting module that generates insights into inventory patterns, stock movements, and sales performance, facilitating strategic decision-making. The system utilizes machine learning for demand forecasting and anomaly identification, providing predictive capabilities to enhance inventory management and avert abnormalities. The proposed solution enhances functionality by diminishing manual errors, reducing inventory waste, and augmenting supply chain visibility. The results of this study illustrate the capacity of sophisticated technology to transform inventory management by improving efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making, while overcoming the shortcomings of conventional methods.
