Multi-Energy Complementarity-Based Optimal Scheduling for Combined Heat and Power Microgrids
This paper presents an optimal operation model for a Combined Heat and Power Microgrid integrating renewable distributed generation. The model employs energy storage systems to decouple the thermal and electrical outputs and leverages multi-energy complementarity to coordinate supply and demand. On the supply side, energy conversion devices are used to enhance energy provision, while on the demand side, an Integrated Demand Side Response strategy is introduced to improve user flexibility through load curtailment, shifting, and energy source switching. A mixed-integer linear programming approach is adopted to minimize total operating costs. Case studies show that the proposed model effectively reduces peak load purchases, enhances system flexibility, and lowers operational costs. Future work will consider uncertainty modeling and real-time scheduling to further improve system robustness.
