Implementation of a Single DC Source Based StepUp Multilevel Inverter

The structure and operation of a multilevel inverter based on a new design powered by a single DC source are explored in this paper. To effectively manage the cycles of capacitor charging and discharging within specified time periods, the proposed inverter employs a switched-capacitor structure. The capability of this multistage design to continually increase the charging capacity of capacitors at every stage compared to the previous one is a key advantage. The output voltage achieved from a low-voltage DC input supply is amplified through this process. The proposed topology is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK to validate the efficiency of the proposed design. A hardware prototype is constructed and tested to demonstrate the performance and practicability of the proposed circuit.
