Sub-6G/Millimeter-Wave Shared-Aperture Antenna Based on Integrated Dipole and SIW Slot Array
This paper presents a high gain and high multiplexing rate dual-band shared-aperture antenna. The dipole antenna is designed to operate in the microwave band. Based on the Yagi antenna structure, a pair of directors are added in front of the dipole antenna, increasing the gain from 1dBi to 4.5dBi over an operating frequency range of 2.9GHz to 5GHz (in line with the Sub-6G band), and a relative bandwidth of 53.2%. For the millimeter-wave (mmWave) band, a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$2 \times 8$</tex> waveguide slot array antenna is employed. The low-frequency antenna structure is integrated through fusion, resulting in an aperture multiplexing rate of approximately 83.1%. In the millimeter-wave band, the antenna achieves a gain of 15.8dBi, corresponding to an operating frequency of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$28.61-28.98 \text{GHz}$</tex> and a relative bandwidth of 1.3%. By adjusting the phase of the subarray, the beam scanning function of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\pm 30^{\circ}$</tex> at 29 GHz is basically realized, especially the best effect between <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\pm 16^{\circ}$</tex>.
