Analysis of Lightning Surge Risk at Deep Sea Wind Farm Considering Grounding Characteristics
Lightning surge are an important risk for the safe and stable operation of offshore wind farms, and the grounding characteristics of wind turbines have a significant impact on lightning surge. Because this article studies the impact of power frequency grounding resistance, grounding method, first lightning strike, and subsequent lightning strikes on the lightning invasion waves of semi submersible deep-sea floating wind turbines in deepsea wind farms. The results indicate that the grounding interconnection conductor of wind turbines, which plays a role in voltage equalization, can significantly reduce the harm of lightning invasion waves. The power frequency grounding resistance of the grounding body of the deep-sea wind turbine is very low. Only in the case of abnormal increase in grounding resistance, lightning surge can cause significant harm to power equipment, and it is necessary to focus on monitoring the status of the grounding body.
