Research on Fault Reconfiguration and Recovery Strategies of Power Systems Containing New Energy Sources

With the increasing integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) such as wind and solar, as well as energy storage devices, into distribution networks, enhancing fault recovery levels through reasonable fault reconfiguration schemes has emerged as a new research direction in distribution grid studies. This paper analyzes the operational characteristics of distribution networks incorporating distributed sgenerators (DGs) and proposes a fault recovery strategy that simultaneously considers network reconfiguration and islanding partitioning. First, by adjusting the constraints in traditional reconfiguration problems, this study allows load shedding operations and supports islanding operation, while coordinating the two schemesislanding operation and reconfiguration-in a synergistic manner. Next, the non-convex and nonlinear optimization problem is transformed into a standard mixed-integer second-order cone programming (MISOCP) problem using second-order cone relaxation techniques, enabling efficient solutions. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated on the IEEE 33 -node model.
