Design of Wideband Circularly Polarized Millimeter Horn Antenna Based on Dielectric Block
A type of wideband circularly polarized millimeter horn antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed design consists of a double-ridged waveguide, a dielectric circularly polarized block, a rectangular-circular transition, and a conical horn. Measurements show that this antenna can achieve wide band (bandwidth 2.3:1) with VSWR of less than 2, a gain greater than 8.3 dBi and axial ratio (AR) lower than 4.3, validating the great potential of the proposed antenna in signal-receiving and millimeter wave test system.
