Compact Sub-Terahertz Self-Quadruplexing SIW Antenna for 6G Wireless System

A compact Sub-Terahertz (Sub-THz) self-quadruplexing antenna is designed using substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) Technology for multifunction 6G communication services. This antenna has four triangular shaped resonators with different sizes. Every radiator is excited by quarter-mode SIW cavities having different resonant frequencies (99.1 GHz, 88.1 GHz, 117.7 GHz, and 78.4 GHz). The antenna consists of a SIW cavity fed by 50Ω GCPW line. The proposed antenna has isolation better than 27 dB between orthogonal ports and better than 20 dB between opposite ports. Maximum gains of this antenna are 4.37 dBi, 5.08 dBi, 5.55 dBi and 5.76 dBi at 99.1 GHz, 88.1 GHz, 117.7 GHz, and 78.4 GHz, respectively. The front-to-back ratios of proposed antenna is greater than 12 dB in all frequency bands.
