Multiband Wi-Fi and Wi-Max Antenna for IOT Applications

The design and simulation of a multiband Wi-Fi and Wi-Max antenna operating at 2.4 GHz, 3.5 GHz, 5.3 GHz, and 6.1 GHz are presented in this paper. The antenna has been designed with FR-4 as substrate and copper (annealed) as patch and ground material which assures consistent performance. Due to growing demands for efficient and compact antenna in IOT applications, the proposed antenna provides a viable solution for smooth wireless communication and data transmission. The proposed antenna has a narrowband operation while keeping it highly efficient with reflection coefficient or return loss of range17 dB to -38 dB at the resonant frequencies. Moreover, it has a gain of 1.011 dBi to 6.4 dBi and high directivity of range 5.5 dBi to 7.2 dBi, which makes it suitable for wireless communication devices.
