Gradient-Based Resource Allocation for Sum Rate Maximization in Scma Systems

This paper presents a novel gradient-based resource allocation algorithm designed for Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA) systems, with the primary goal of maximizing the system's sum rate. The proposed algorithm integrates subcarrier and power allocation, overcoming the limitations of traditional methods that handle these allocations separately. By combining these processes, the algorithm reduces computational complexity and enhances overall system performance. Simulation results demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms existing water-filling algorithms in terms of sum rate. Although the algorithm is not optimal due to inherent problem constraints, it shows considerable promise. This study highlights the potential of integrated resource allocation strategies to improve the efficiency of modern wireless communication systems.
