Research on Positioning Algorithm of Underwater Vehicle Based on Sonar Array Detection Technology
Underwater vehicles are suitable for underwater non-destructive testing of marine structures that are vulnerable to damage caused by external environmental influences, such as underwater structures and submarine cables. Research on the positioning algorithm required when underwater vehicles carry out operations such non-destructive testing of marine structures is presented in this paper. In order to accurately position the operation trajectory of underwater vehicles, it is necessary to correct the motion trajectory of the vehicles. By using sonar array sensors for positioning and target location, and adopting the closely spaced multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) array with co-located transmitter and receiver to improve the detection and positioning capabilities of the array. In this paper, the effect of traditional phased array and Capon algorithm on positioning correction is compared, and the simulation results show that Capon algorithm is more accurate and stable in the correction between the underwater vehicle and the target trajectory, and can provide more accurate results.
