Extremely High-Isolation Design for Tx-Rx Separated MIMO Array Supporting Full-Duplex Technology
In this paper, two decoupling structures are proposed to improve the Tx-Rx port isolation of in-band fullduplex MIMO dual-polarized antenna arrays. Multiple metal blocks of different heights can suppress the spatial coupling between the Tx-Rx antennas and the surface wave coupling on the metal antenna panel. By disrupting the current path on the ground plane, DGS can block the propagation of coupling currents and reduce interference between Tx-Rx antennas. In the 4.8-5GHz operating frequency range, the Tx to Rx isolation is greater than 77 dB with the enhancement over 30dB, and there is almost no degradation in radiation performance and antenna matching performance. The extremely high-isolation design for Tx-Rx separated antenna arrays can significantly enhance the performance and application potential of integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) technology. Its high isolation effectively mitigates the mutual interference between communication and sensing signals, ensuring the accuracy and stability of simultaneous communication and environmental sensing.
