Successful Treatment of Partial Adductor Tendon Tear in a Nonathlete Using Regenerative Therapy
Groin injuries are most commonly seen in athletes involved in sports which have more of running, kicking, and twisting activities such as hockey and football. Adductors of the thigh are the most commonly injured group of muscle in athletes presenting with groin pain amounting to 64% of all groin injuries. The literature available describe the management of adductor injuries only in the elite athletic population, whereas the incidence and management of the same in the general population is Unknown. Groin pain in a nonathlete individual secondary to adductor muscle tear is seldom seen. We present a rare case of successful management of partial adductor tendon tear in a nonathlete using regenerative therapy.
