ENHANCING THE EXPORT POTENTIAL OF RUSSIAN COMPANIES THROUGH ALIGNMENT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE AGENDA REQUIREMENTS
The tightening of environmental standards, carbon border adjustment mechanisms (CBAM), and sanctions have reduced the competitiveness of Russian exports, particularly in energy-intensive industries. The adoption of green technologies, certification systems, and ESG strategies enables companies to adapt to these external pressures. Case studies of Sibur, Norilsk Nickel, and EuroChem demonstrate that ecological transformation supports the retention and expansion of access to international markets.
