Integrated concrete bridge
Integrated concrete bridges represent a modern engineering solution that eliminates expansion joints and bearings, traditionally considered critical maintenance elements. This article provides an overview of integrated bridges, covering their structural configurations and structural interaction. The advantages and disadvantages of integrated bridges are examined. The article also highlights the differences between integrated, semi-integrated, and traditional non-integrated bridges, focusing on their structural principles. Furthermore, examples from global practice are presented, demonstrating the growing popularity and technical benefits of these bridges.
