IMPACT OF TRANSPORTATION ON PROJECT SUCCESS

The article establishes that the transport component of projects is an integral concept that combines the transport support of individual works and stages of the project. Depending on the specifics of the transport infrastructure and the availability of vehicles, the possibility of adjusting the parameters of the project product and the terms of its receipt, i.e. the duration of the project life cycle, is formed. Therefore, the transport component of construction and infrastructure projects is critically important for their successful implementation. Timely delivery of raw materials and materials, as well as effective organization of logistics and financial processes determine the potential for implementing investments in construction projects. Projects are divided by the volume of the required transport support. The relationship between the areas of knowledge and project management processes with transport support issues is determined. The impact of transport support on the success of the project is characterized. It is substantiated that transport support is a set of two components: vehicles and their operation models in accordance with the spatial arrangement of the elements of the logistics infrastructure (the material component of the logistics system) and the model of its functioning. It has been established that transport support is a combination of two components: vehicles and their operating model in accordance with the spatial arrangement of the elements of the logistics infrastructure (the material component of the logistics system) and the model of its functioning. The transport service model assumes the parameters of the transport support system functioning, which characterize the number of necessary vehicles, the conditions and mode of their operation within the framework of the project implementation. The disadvantages and advantages of the three main transport support options are determined and characterized in accordance with the project's relevance. The presented scheme for forming alternative transport support options is the basis for making a decision on choosing specific options for a specific project, taking into account its specifics. An example of the plurality and alternativity of vehicles for a megaproject for the production and installation of wind turbines is given.
