Holmes Tremor as a Delayed Sequelae of Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis: A Case Report
Abstract Holmes tremor (HT) is a rare symptomatic tremor characterized by a combination of rest, postural, and intention components. It typically arises from lesions involving the cerebellothalamic pathways, often secondary to vascular events. We report the case of a 38-year-old man who developed cerebellar outflow tremors following cerebral venous sinus thrombosis with hemorrhagic transformation involving the left temporal lobe and thalamus. This case highlights the delayed manifestation of HT due to vascular disruption of cerebellar output tracts and emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and intervention.
