Effects of steady magnetic fields on NiRuO2 nanofibers for the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction

NiRuO 2 nanofibers demonstrate OER (280 mV) and HER (1 mV) overpotentials at 10 mA cm −2 under magnetic field, which drives a spin state transition from high-spin to low-spin and reduces the energy barrier for both AEM and OPM pathways.

Abstract

NiRuO 2 nanofibers demonstrate OER (280 mV) and HER (1 mV) overpotentials at 10 mA cm −2 under magnetic field, which drives a spin state transition from high-spin to low-spin and reduces the energy barrier for both AEM and OPM pathways.
