Experimental study on forming rebound deformation of CFRP thin-walled box-shaped parts using curing temperature process curve
Abstract Corner structure is widely used in the design of composite thin-walled parts. During the curing process of thin-walled parts, the corner area will undergo rebound deformation, resulting in excessive form and position errors in composite parts. This article studied the influence of curing temperature process curves on the rebound deformation of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) thin-walled box-shaped parts through experiments. The results showed that appropriately increasing the curing time of the test piece at lower temperatures can reduce the solidification rebound deformation of the test piece. For the [0/±45/0] layer piece, when the heating rate is 5 °C/min, the piece using the four-step curing process had the smallest curing deformation, and the maximum deformation of the three planes is 3.538 mm, -3.510 mm and -3.613 mm.
