Effect of Ce on microstructure and properties of AlN/AZ91 magnesium matrix composites
Abstract In this paper, the microstructure and mechanical properties of AlN/AZ91 magnesium matrix composites were studied by adding 0.5 wt%, 1.0 wt%, and 2.0 wt% Ce elements, respectively. Analyze the content, precipitation temperature, and nucleation sequence of each phase through Thermo Calc thermodynamic equilibrium calculation. Using material characterization analysis methods such as optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD), the modification effect of AlN/AZ91 magnesium matrix composites with different Ce contents was characterized. The influence mechanism of rare earth element Ce addition on the strength and plasticity of AlN/AZ91 magnesium matrix composite materials was analyzed.
