Preparation of 400°C silicon high-temperature resistant coating

Abstract Silicone high-temperature anti-corrosion coatings are widely used in the petrochemical industry, automobile industry, electric power equipment, and other fields because of their excellent high-temperature resistance. However, their corrosion resistance is poor and usually needs to be used with other anti-corrosion coatings, so the construction procedure is complicated. This paper takes the 400°C silicon high-temperature anti-corrosion coating as the research object, through reasonable adjustment of coating formula pigment base ratio, selecting efficient antirust pigment and reinforcing material, and comparing the effect of different raw material additive amounts on the performance of coating film. For the first time, the comprehensive influence of multiple factors on the performance of high-temperature silicone coatings at 400°C has been comprehensively explored, as well as the successful preparation of high-performance corrosion-resistant coatings. It was finally determined that when the formula of the pigment-based ratio is 2.0, the addition amount of composite antirust pigment is 10, the mica powder addition amount is 6, the coating produced has the best performance, resistance can reach 400°C, resistance to temperature change cycle can reach up to 8 times, and salt spray resistance can reach up to 360 h, which meet the needs of different high-temperature environment for the protection of metal materials corrosion.
