Confocal spectropolarimetric microscope based on channeled spectropolarimetry

A confocal spectropolarimetric microscope based on channeled spectropolarimetry is described in this presentation. It utilizes high-order retarders with strong chromatic dispersions in their phase retardations so that the polarization modulation of spectrum can be made without using mechanical or active elements for polarization control. The demonstrative experiment of the microscopic hyperspectral imaging of Stokes parameters was conducted in the spectral range of 500–700 nm.

Abstract

A confocal spectropolarimetric microscope based on channeled spectropolarimetry is described in this presentation. It utilizes high-order retarders with strong chromatic dispersions in their phase retardations so that the polarization modulation of spectrum can be made without using mechanical or active elements for polarization control. The demonstrative experiment of the microscopic hyperspectral imaging of Stokes parameters was conducted in the spectral range of 500–700 nm.
