Nilai Kearifan Lokal Madura dalam Musik Daul sebagai Media Pedagogi STEM

Daul music is one of the forms of cultural expression and local wisdom of Madura that contains various spiritual, moral, social solidarity, and educational values. This study aims to explore the potential of Daul music as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pedagogical medium that is responsive to local culture and Islamic values. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with cultural analysis, data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with Daul practitioners, and analysis of the music and its social context. The results of the study indicate that Daul music contains concepts of sound physics, engineering principles in the creation of musical instruments, and mathematical patterns in rhythm and musical structure. Additionally, the collective practice in Daul performances reflects values of cooperation, leadership, and Islamic spirituality. Integrating Daul music into STEM education not only strengthens contextual understanding of scientific concepts but also builds students' cultural and religious identity. This study recommends the development of a STEM learning model based on Islamic-Maduran local wisdom as an innovative educational approach rooted in culture and community.
