Integration of Islamic Values in Ethnoscience-Based IPAS Learning Through Exploration of Sapi Sonok Culture in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
This research aims to examine the implementation of ethnoscience-based IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning with the integration of Islamic values through the exploration of Sapi Sonok culture in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with participants 13 grade V teachers from various Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Batumarmar, Pamekasan. Data collection was conducted through open and closed questionnaire instruments. The results showed that most teachers had prior understanding of the concept of ethnoscience and showed enthusiasm in integrating local culture and Islamic values in learning. The strategies applied include character habituation, using Islamic teaching sources and strengthening scientific logic. Sapi Sonok culture is considered relevant as a learning medium because it contains elements of science as well as Islamic values such as compassion, responsibility and environmental care. Teachers relate these cultural elements to IPAS materials such as food chains, adaptation of living things, and ecosystem dynamics. Despite obstacles such as limited learning media and time allocation in the curriculum, teachers still show high motivation to continue this Islamic value-based ethnoscience approach. IPAS learning integrated with Islamic ethnoscience based on local culture has the potential to enrich the learning experience, build the character of students, and enhance the learning process.
