Nilai Pendidikan Islam Moderat dalam Respon Ulama Madura terhadap Polemik Nasab Habib Bani ‘Alawi

Indonesia is currently faced with a debate about the lineage of the Alawi habibs, where the polemic began after the publication of the work of KH. Imaduddin Utsman Al-Bantani about the breakup of the habib lineage in Indonesia, the impact of the polemic is marked by a split between the community who are classified as pro habib and pro kiai Imaduddin, The purpose of this study is to determine the value of moderate Islamic education in the response of Madurese scholars in the midst of the polemic of the lineage of the Alawi habibs. This study, which responds to the polemic of the lineage of the Alawi habibs, is a field study with a qualitative approach and a phenomenological research type. The primary data sources in this study include: 1) KH. Kholil Yasin Bangkalan, 2) KH. Musleh Adnan, 3) KH. Malik Tarsawi, and 4) KH, Musfiq Makmun Al-Karawi, while secondary data sources are supporting data to the primary data sources mentioned. The data collection in this study includes interviews and observations. Data analysis was carried out by describing the overall experience of the subject, horizontalization, hextural description, structural description, unification of the essence of the subject, and the reporting stage. The process of checking the validity of the data uses credibility, transferability, and dependability. The results of this study are: 1) The response of Madurese scholars in the polemic of the Habib Bani 'Alawi lineage contains an invitation to the public not to follow the issue of the Habib Bani 'Alawi lineage, inviting the public not to comment on the issue of the Habib Bani 'Alawi lineage and inviting the public not to insult each other among fellow religious people. 2) The values of moderate education in the response of Madurese scholars contain the values of balance, a sense of justice, not being radical which is characterized by an attitude of not following others, having good intentions, keeping quiet and building harmony.
