VANET: Impact of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence on Autonomous Vehicles

According to advances in technology, Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) that travel with minimum human intervention for the driving and other functions are changing the path of transport. The integration of AVs into Vehicular Adhoc Networks (VANET) adds to its capability since it allows real-time communication and data exchange. Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a part in these and has recently been an important actor. However, in many cases, the credibility of AI methods continues to be debatable along with questions concerning security and data privacy of the users. On the other hand, Blockchain is the new kid on the block, which many enterprise applications require in terms of security and privacy. The paper discusses how AI and Blockchain can enhance each other's effectiveness: (a) using Blockchains to build more trusted and less privacy-invasive AVs; (b) using AI to improve subject-related activities in Blockchain and internal algorithms. Further, this paper explains the complete comprehensive analysis concerning the continuation of present use cases in business applications of Blockchain technology in AVs. Moreover, the paper further examines the present work to explain the use of AI, pointing out certain challenges and issues involved. Finally, a multidisciplinary approach is used to determine the future of AI with Blockchain in AVs blending technological advancements with ethical considerations and regulatory legislations.
