Application of Blockchain Technology in Infrastructure Investment for China-Europe Energy Cooperation
The financial industry of China together with Europe continues as two primary global forces in green finance through their ongoing efforts to advance environmentally sound investments. The green credit balance in China amounts to 11 trillion yuan alongside its 1.2 trillion-yuan worth of green bonds whereas Europe has implemented extensive regulatory systems for sustainable financing. Both regions face obstacles to sustainable green finance development due to insufficient data sharing and ineffective communication and the practice of greenwashing. A lack of unified regulations combined with undefined green certification standards leads to greater financial risks for institutions conducting green project investments since these activities focus mainly on public welfare goals rather than profit-seeking behaviour. Green energy investment partnerships across borders remain limited because environmental sector firms and financial institutions struggle to exchange data effectively. The application of blockchain technology enables transparent and secure as well as efficient green financing operations. Through blockchain technology investors gain confidence in green initiatives because it ensures safe data sharing as well as smart contract deployment and meets regulatory demands. The paper investigates how blockchain technology gets implemented to support China-Europe energy infrastructure investment projects. The paper demonstrates how blockchain enhances sustainable energy projects through enhanced financial tracking abilities and simplified international transactions and effective trust-building alliances. China and Europe can develop their green energy partnership through blockchain integration in their energy financing procedures to build a sustainable future which is both resource-efficient and environmentally friendly.
