Arduino-Based Indoor Navigation System with Finger Print Method
Arduino-based devices integrated with Indoor Positioning Systems (IPS) leverage the flexibility and accessibility of Arduino platforms to create effective solutions for indoor navigation and positioning. These systems often incorporate various sensors and communication modules to enhance accuracy and functionality. The integration of Arduino with IPS is particularly beneficial in environments where GPS signals are weak or unavailable, such as inside buildings. This approach is not only cost-effective but also adaptable to various applications, from elderly care to safety systems. This study aims to develop a high-accuracy and low-cost navigation system in closed spaces by integrating ultrasonic sensors with an opensource and affordable platform such as Arduino. By using the weighted Euclidean distance method, the distance with the minimum value is assigned to certain locations. Unlike existing systems, positioning with the fingerprint method aims to provide an accessible solution for disabled individuals, autonomous robots or industrial applications by eliminating complex infrastructure requirements.
