Quantifying Disruption of Research Activities to Promote Entrepreneurial Minded Learning Among Engineering Students
Entrepreneurship education is an important part of career readiness preparation for engineering students. Many of the skills necessary to develop a business are fundamental to the management and production of technical projects. However, prior research suggests that there is a disconnect between the number of engineering students who want entrepreneurial education and those who actually receive it by the end of their university tenure due to a variety of factors. This paper presents a method of quantifying the benefit of pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors during the schooling of engineering majors' education to encourage the adoption of these skills.
