Optimized Interpolation-Based Methods With Inverse Filtering for Time Delay Estimation
Time delay estimation (TDE) in the off-grid case where the time to be estimated does not fall on the estimation grids. However, in practical engineering, the waveform distortion caused by hardware and software pre-processing leads to significant performance degradation. In this paper, optimization interpolation method with adaptive inverse filter is proposed. The waveform distortion is first undone via the presented inverse filter, whose coefficients are optimized by LMS algorithm. Then, the interpolation-based method is applied to the filtered signal, and improved estimation performance is achieved compared with existing methods.
