Performance Analysis of 6G Wireless Networks: Harnessing Ultra-Rapid Data Transfer and Applications with Minimal Latency to Upend Connectivity
The evolution of sixth-generation (6 G) wireless networks, beyond the fifth generation (5 G), is the next quantum leap in telecommunications, coalescing a convergence of technologies that will form the backbone of our next-generation connectivity. Such advancements allow data transfers of up to 1 terabit per second (Tbps); end-to-end latency of less than 0.1 milliseconds; and the ability to connect billions of devices innovations that make way for a new age shaped by ubiquitous intelligence. This work investigates 6 G use cases in different domains such as holographic communication, immersive extended reality (XR), near real-time digital twins, and autonomous systems. The of also emphasizes the importance of AI-based network management and resource allocation in improving resiliency, energy efficiency, and security of 6 G systems. In addition, the paper reviews the major challenges in the 6 G deployment and presents the advanced effective spectrum allocation/hardware development and energy and environment sustainability of ultra-dense networks for the effective 6 G deployment. This research highlights 6G's ability to transform the domain of mobile communications through an in-depth discussion of its key technological components, practical implementations, and deployments. It aligns with a fundamental need for policymakers, researchers and industry leaders to leverage these unprecedented new capabilities of 6 G for next-generation innovation, extending digital inclusion globally, and building a more connected and sustainable world.
