Architecture Design for the Next Generation of Housekeeping System for Small Satellites
In response to the urgent market demands for the expansion capabilities, data processing efficiency, and constellation cooperation capabilities of small satellite electronic systems, this article introduces the architecture and software technologies of the on-board housekeeping system for the new generation of small satellites. This system adopts the concept of integrated design. It classifies and synthesizes the functions of each subsystem in traditional satellites according to logic. By designing corresponding “functional fusion domains”, it realizes all the functions of the whole satellite in a centralized manner. The system has designed and applied service-oriented software architecture, which makes the system easy to expand and software-definable. The system can meet market demands and align with the trends of future technological development, thus providing new ideas and approaches for the development of small satellite on-board housekeeping technologies.
