Distributed Detection and Data Fusion in Wireless Sensor Networks with Mobile Sink
Mobile sink in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) A distributed detection and data fusion WSN solution is a revolutionary technology. WSNs are a group of small, batterypowered sensors networked together to gather, process, and relay information. This mobile sink is a mobile device that can enter and leave the network, which represents a new approach to WSN, helping in energy consumption of sensor nodes and increasing efficiency, which gives a new definition for network lifetime. It uses a distributed detection scheme in which each sensor node performs a local detection decision based on its measurements. The fusion center makes local decisions to make a global decision about the presence of an event or phenomenon. Integrating a mobile sink into the network allows the fusion center to adapt to the sink. Moving closer to areas of interest, the sink can gather local data and consume less energy in conducting sensor-node communication, which can tremendously improve data collection and fusion efficiency.
