Sensor Nodes Deployment for Improving Coverage in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks is a most active area of research and coverage of WSN is one of the key features to enhance performance. Coverage of wireless sensor networks is a measure of how efficiently sensors are can observe physical space. Deploying minimum number of sensor nodes while maintaining the coverage covers maximum target sensing area of wireless sensor network. In this paper, we have presented a model for coverage maximization. The objective of this paper is to maximize the coverage area of our target region as well as minimize the number of sensor nodes used in this network. This study presents a novel method which can enhance the coverage area with lesser number of sensor nodes. Coverage problem in WSN is affecting the quality of services very closely. The main objective for coverage problem is to find a supervision of any node at every point of the targeted region. The covering strategies based on deterministic deployment of sensor nodes are elaborated.
