Supraharmonic Grouping Based on Moving Average Filtering and Quantile Thresholding

Supraharmonics, generated mainly by highfrequency switching power electronic elements, have attracted research interest due to their impact on consumer's devices and power grid. There is no mandatory measurement of Supraharmonics with regard to temporal and frequency resolution. This paper focuses on grouping of supraharmonic spectrum, aiming to help trace harmonic sources with different switching frequencies. A method based on moving average filtering is proposed, combined with quantile calculation and spectrum thresholding. Through case study with simulation waveform data, the method is considered capable of capture spectrum groups and central frequencies, thus providing support for supraharmonic source tracing.
