Machine Learning Techniques for Enhanced Performance in Optical Networks
In recent years, we have seen significant attention dedicated to using machine learning methods to improve the performance of optical networks. With the ability to independently identify processes through history and a realtime optimization algorithm, these algorithms learn with the entire network and make intelligent decisions to deliver the networks effectively. In the present abstract, we outline the disciplinary essentials of machine learning techniques in optical networks expected to enhance execution. Traffic prediction and routing optimization: We can use supervised learning algorithms (like support vector machines and neural nets) to predict traffic and optimize routes. This enables the network to anticipate and adapt to traffic variations, leading to lower congestion and improved performance. Unsupervised learning algorithms like clustering and anomaly detection can be applied in fault detection and isolation of different network systems on optical networks. They can monitor and analyze data packets, detecting their patterns to prevent potential failure, thus helping reduce network downtime and increase reliability. We suggest utilizing reinforcement learning to develop new approaches for optimizing resource allocation and routing decisions in dynamic optical networks that can adapt to varying network conditions and traffic loads in real time. Because their self-learning feature allows algorithms to adapt to changing network conditions, researchers are investigating if these techniques can lead optical networks to more excellent performance and reliability.
