Design and Analysis of Vivaldi Antenna Over A Wide Frequency Range

When we look at the literature, antennas are preferred for many different applications. One of the antennas preferred in microwave application areas is vivaldi antennas. Vivaldi antennas are generally preferred for different applications. In this study, the design and analysis of a vivaldi antenna was carried out considering the wide frequency range. The microwave studio program, which is preferred in microwave studies, was used in the study. The frequency range was selected as $\mathbf{0 - 2 5 ~ G H z}$. The frequency domain solver was preferred during the analysis. The most important reason for preferring the frequency domain solver is to obtain the best result in a short time. The antenna consists of three layers. The bottom layer is FR-4 material (dielectric coefficient $=4.3$, loss tangent $=0.025$, layer thickness 1.6), and the ground plane and the antenna patch are made of copper (electrical conductivity = $5.8 \mathrm{e}+007)$ plate. Different designs and shapes were tried. As a result, it was concluded how the parameters such as width, length and thickness of the antenna, whose reflection parameter design was performed, should be. The reflection parameter was taken into consideration to evaluate the analysis. When the analysis results are examined, it is seen that the proposed antenna achieves a result below -10 dB at many frequencies in the $0-25 \mathrm{GHz}$ frequency range.
