File Monitoring System for Ransomware Detection
Malicious Software is also known as Malware is a program that harms the computer system. Based on purpose of malware there are multiple types of malwares such as worms, Trojan horse, loaders, infostealers, spyware, rootkit, ransomware and many more. Among them ransomware is one of the most sophisticated types of malware that intend to lock the victim's system, encrypt all the files and demand for ransom. Once system is compromised by ransomware it will be very hard to recover the system as well as the files in it. Therefore, before deployment of ransomware it should be detected and removed from the system. We have tried to build a file monitoring system that will continuously monitor specific directory of file system for any suspicious activity and try to neutralize it.
