Integrating Key Distribution Centers in Blockchain Systems for Secure Key Exchange

Yet a huge area for improvement of block chain implementations is handling cryptographic keys necessary for securing data and financial transactions. Existing key distribution schemes are vulnerable to attack and can break the whole block chain network. This paper addresses these issues by incorporating Key Distribution Centers (KDCs) into block chain systems. KDCs are centrally secured entities that create, keep and share cryptographic secrets with authenticated parties. The presence of KDCs in block chain systems can develop a protected route to exchange the keys, which changes all conventional processes for key dispersion. It ensures that only the right people get their hands on those keys at authorized times and keeps undesired attacks to a minimum. We propose a solution which leverages block chain's organically transparent and tamper-proof characteristic principle to store (and verify) every touchpoint transaction of the system within its work. The idea is to secure key exchanges cryptographically; everything that needs keys can be done between parties, and these are burned into the network so other Daps, etc. However, using KDC in block chain systems will improve the overall network security, ensuring an evolutionary and trustworthy way for key exchange. It is important for finance, healthcare, and supply chain industries, where exchanging information securely but privately is crucial.
