Architecture and Design Flow of a Smart Sleep Tracker

This paper presents the design and implementation of a Smart Sleep Tracker. The main function of our device is to track users' sleep and provide critical health data such as total sleep time, heart rate variability, movement throughout the night, and sleeping positions. The IoT device is paired with a mobile application that stores users' sleep data for future reference and presents the information in an easy-to-read, user-friendly format. Our system can be used by anyone who is interested in exploring the quality of their sleep. It is designed to be used for up to sixteen hours. The prototype of our system is designed using a sensor package connected to a microcontroller, which is then connected to a Raspberry Pi via Bluetooth to perform data processing and communicate with a mobile application.
