Design of the Transition Joint of a GTEM Cell
To meet the requirements of the chip EMC test standards (IEC 62132-2, GB/T 42968.2-2024) which stipulate that the VSWR of the GTEM Cell should be less than <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{1. 5}$</tex> within the operational frequency range. In this paper, the joint of the GTEM cell is optimized to achieve the expected VSWR. A parametric model of the transition joint was established in CST simulation software. By performing a parameter scan on this model, the expected impedance and VSWR were determined. Finally, the transition joint was physically assembled and test. Test results show that VSWR of GTEM cell with optimization adapter is lower 1.5, and the transition joint satisfies the needs of engineering application.
