Motion Target Parameter Estimation and Imaging Algorithm Based on Polynomial Chirplet Transform

To achieve motion parameter estimation and imaging of uniformly accelerated moving targets, this paper proposes a parameter estimation and imaging algorithm based on Polynomial Chirplet Transform (PCT). First, the echo signal model and slant range model for uniformly accelerated moving targets are established. Next, in the range frequency-azimuth time domain, the Symmetric Auto-correlation operation (SACO) is applied to eliminate range migration, thereby concentrating the target energy in the same range cell. Then, the timefrequency characteristic curve is obtained using the Polynomial Chirplet Transform, and the Doppler parameters of the moving target are estimated through least-squares fitting. Finally, based on the estimated motion parameters, the moving target is focused and imaged. Simulation experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
