Interference Mitigation and Management Techniques for Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) Transmission

Coordinated Multi-factor (Comp) transmission is a rising era for enhancing the performance of future wireless networks. It involves collaboration between multiple base stations (BSs) to serve users within the same place, leading to higher spectral efficiency and advanced insurance. However, the improved range of transmitted alerts in Comp can cause interference, which degrades the device's overall performance. Interference mitigation and management strategies are critical to deal with this problem and optimize the overall performance of Comp transmission. At the transmitter facet, techniques consisting of beam forming, power manipulation, and spectrum allocation can be used to reduce interference. The purpose of these strategies is to suit the transmitted alerts with the spatial and frequency traits of the channel, lowering the impact of interference on neighboring cells. On the receiver side, interference cancellation strategies can be employed to eliminate the results of co-channel interference. These techniques rely upon superior signal processing algorithms to remove interference from the acquired signals and improve the desired signal appropriately.
