Visualization Study of Graphene-Acetone Nanofluids in a Flat Plate Pulsating Heat Pipe
This paper reports a visualization study of a pulsating heat pipe with graphene nanofluids. To simulate a metal pulsating heat pipe, the experiment utilizes a metal flat plate more realistically with grooves for the pulsating heat pipe, and a glass plate is installed at the front. The graphene nanofluids uses acetone as the solvent, with graphene nano powder added, without the use of surfactants. Compared to existing technologies, the graphene nanofluids, as observed through visualization, can enhance the gas column advancement speed. It is also found that the fluid velocity directly influences the heat exchange performance of the metal flat plate pulsating heat pipe, resulting in a 44.79 % reduction in thermal resistance.
