A Research on Delay Compensation Design in Small Broadband Phased Array Antennas
Currently, Subarray-level delay compensation is widely used to mitigate the beam dispersion effects in broadband phased array antennas. However, due to the limited number of channels in small broadband phased array antennas, subarraylevel delay cannot meet the application requirements, and thus, small broadband phased array antennas often require channellevel delay. Firstly, the application of time shifter in the design of time delay compensation for small broadband phased array antennas is theoretically derived in this paper. Secondly, the performance comparison of time delay design schemes such as “time-delay shifters” and “true phase shifters + time-delay shifters” is conducted. This paper has certain reference significance for the design of time delay compensation for small broadband phased array antennas.
