Current Digital Vulnerabilities and Cyber Crimes
Financial technologies have developed at a very fast pace in India and have transformed the financial landscape by making possible easy and innovative modes of transactions and processes. However, with growth, heavy challenges come. Several cyber threats, like phishing and ransomware, and data breaches could put fintech firms off their track and seriously destabilize customers' finances. This paper gives an overview of the area of interaction between the areas of cybersecurity and fintech in India, with reference to the kinds of cyber threats prevalent in the sector, implications for financial institutions, and regulation. The paper later acknowledges that risk mitigation is best achieved through strong frameworks of cybersecurity and collaboration between fintech firms, traditional banks, and regulatory bodies. It concludes that the growth of fintech, which proceeds through challenges, will push up the safety of financial transactions while keeping consumer's data protected.
