Research on the FPGA Implementation of Beverage Vending Machines
This paper mainly designs a beverage vending machine based on FPGA, using VHDL language for programming and conducting functional verification on the Vivado platform. Based on basic algorithms such as counter-based frequency division and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$D$</tex> flip-flop cascading, three types of modules, namely the clock frequency division module, the button falling-edge detection module, and the control module, are designed to achieve the functions such as product selection, amount calculation, and information feedback. Simulation tests prove that all functions of the beverage machine operates accurately and stably. Moreover, the circuit is concise and clear, which can effectively reduce energy consumption. It is expected to be put into practical application to facilitate daily life after hardware implementation.
