Comparitive Evaluation Of The Pain Relieving Effects Of Pregabalin And Methylcobalamin Alone Or In Combination With Nortriptyline In Neuropathic Pain Management: A Prospective Study

This study compared the pain relief of two treatment regimens for neuropathic pain: Pregabalin and Methylcobalamin [PM] versus Pregabalin, Methylcobalamin and Nortriptyline [PMN]. In this prospective observational study, 96 patients received either PM or PMN over 6 months. Both groups showed significant pain reduction, but PMN provided more sustained pain relief, albeit with increased adverse effects like sedation and drowsiness. The study concludes that PMN offers more sustained pain relief, highlighting the need for careful consideration of treatment options.
